Welcome to the Capital Region Educators of Dance Organization (CREDO) website. Our mission is to advance dance education centered in the arts in the area of the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. The organization serves your needs if you teach dance, study dance, create dance programs, administer dance programs, fund dance programs, or legislate for the arts.

CREDO is an independent organization that is aligned as a State Affiliate of the National Dance Education Organization. It functions in partnership with NDEO to advance dance education and fulfill the needs of the nation through state initiatives and local projects. Membership in CREDO includes membership in NDEO, and vice versa. State Affiliates have representation to NDEO and elect representation to the NDEO Board of Directors. Visit NDEO at www.ndeo.org.

CREDO helps dance educators learn more about teaching the art of dance and promotes standards-based dance curriculum and best teaching practices. It serves individuals, studios, schools, or organizations that teach or support dance in the Capital Region of Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia.
